I'm compiling a list of the railroad cars and locomotives which are listed on the National Register of Historic Places (using info directly from the NRIS database), but I have a few unanswered questions. Perhaps someone can help with the following listing:
"Dinwiddie County Pullman Car" Listed in 1991, located at Hallsboro Yard, Midlothian, Virginia.
Please holler if you have any particulars on this one, thanks!
From the OD NRHS roster page:
http://www.odcnrhs.org/equipmen.htm

Dinwiddie County NW HW sleeper Built by Pullman in 1926 (plan3521F, Diagram 46; 10-section/lounge) as open-end platform car Mt.Angeles. Converted to closed-end car with rear windows and renamed Dinwiddie in 1934. Present name given in 1937 for service on N&W. Purchased from the Pullman Company in 1966 and used for excursion service until 1982 (last service on the Dixie Limited). Appeared
in two movies, "Eleanor and Franklin" (as FDR funeral car) and "Tad" (background piece), and listed on National Register of Historic Places
in October, 1991. Currently in good condition, but not available for service.
