Offcials of both the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania and the Strasburg Railroad came to a agreement today to transfer ownership of PRR D16b 4-4-0 1223 and E7s 4-4-2 7002 from the state of Pennsylvania to the Strasburg, in exchange for GE 44-Tonner 33 and Railbus 21. As part of the deal, new owner Linn Moedinger will have the privledge of operating the #7002 on a NRHS excursion in summer 2006. Strasburg has plans to run the duo on numorous doubleheaded excursions to Harrisburg, Enola, Baltimore, Philadelphia, and even to Ohio to participate in the joint 2006 NRHS-Ohio Central Convention. "I couldn't be more happier" said Moedinger. "They [1223 and 7002] are nice additions for the county, the railroading community, and the staff at the railroad alike".

If only it were true! It was a real privelege to have been on two of 1223/7002's trips. Those old ladies could really move.

I would like to see the #460 run. How about on the PRSL old trackage where it spent a good deal of time not to mention some of its last days.

Mike, what about that contraption supposedly in some swamp behind a McDonalds in West Hempstead?! Have yet to check THAT one out. Add that and if they ever find anything in the Atlantic Avenue Tunnel and you've got four...
