Post subject: Santa Fe No. 3417

The town of Cleburne, Tx., will hold a meeting this week to decide the fate of its park engine, No. 3417. It's a 4-6-2--- heavier than the one currently operating at Texas State RR.
For a RR town (site of former Santa Fe shops) Cleburne seems to be shunning its RR heritage if this locomotive is sold, given away, or scrapped. The depot there was demolished for a road overpass a few years ago. The shop buildings still stand with an uncertain future.
