The Rock Island was noted for sampling diesel engines from nearly every builder, with usually just a few of the oddballs in each class. Amazingly, one of the RI Baldwin switchers has survived and is said to be for sale at Glover, MO. It is former RI 758, built as BLW demo. 1200.
