West Coast Railway Heritage Park in Squamish BC is looking for a set of cast steel six wheel roller bearing trucks for our GN Obs. #1057. The plan is to restore the car to her appearance and configuration when she was on the Builder connection from Portland to Spokane and when she ran into Vancouver BC. Trucks need to be serviceable and in reasonable condition but don't need to be overhauled for mainline as the car will be a display item on our site. Possible short trips are likely on our future excursion line. Current trucks are six wheel composite wood/steel applied when the car went into work service. These trucks may go to a restoration project in N.Dakota if a deal can be worked out. Please note: bolted pedestal type trucks will not be suitable. Thanks.<br> grantf@apexmail.com |
