RC '98 was a pilot program and in many ways the growing pains/lumps it experienced were the charm of it. For me, '98 was one the very best weeks of my life. I know that several alums are or were involved with for profit railroads, heritage railroads, historical societies, etc. later on. RC '99 went much more smoothly but lacked the fond memories of '98. I can say that for me both produced several good acquaintances that I enjoy running into from time to time and one lifelong friendship. Thank you to all that made it possible; your vision during a time before social media in many ways is why there are so many young people interested today. |
