Has anybody developed a low UV glass retrofit for outdoor displayed passenger cars southern exposures? How about a UV resistant gasket material for holding the glass into the opening? I don't think there's much to be done about painted surfaces deteriorating on a regular basis, but this sort of thing could extend the life of window shades, interior textiles, and forestall moisture infiltration around the windows if it can be done. Experience and ideas please.

you might ask the folks that just built a "Vista Dome". They may have some info even if theirs was not a retrofit.

how does the glass install? If its a rubber seal, automotive or marine supply may be able to help. JC Whittney (yea, they're still around) has a bunch of stuff with pictures. most new winshield and window seals are very UV tolerant. The ureathane RTV used to install late model auto winshields is some amazing stuff, and tough is as heck (for years)
theres also companies that will make special runs for auto restoration, maybe letting them know of your needs will get you what you need (and open up a new market for them)
