Folks,

I just picked up a post card of a 36" gauge Dinky at the Pine Creek Railroad at the Allaire State Park in New Jersey.

It was built in 1928 and has the #5 on the side.

Anybody know where it was used or if there is a roster of their equipment some place?

From the roster by member Gary Crawford:

#5, Plymouth, DL/2, 36" gauge, ex-Marcus Wright Sand Co,
South River NJ. Originally gas, converted to 3-71 GM diesel by Wright Sand.

I have a lot of miles on it. Great little locomotive. A real work horse that move just about anything.

I don't believe their web site provides a full roster. I have a hard copy here someplace that was just given to me recently.

Thanks that is just what I was looking for.

That 71 cubic inch series of Diesels turn up all over the place; Marine use, Land use and also powering trains. They built them from 1-71 all the way up to 12-71 or higher. With the 4-71s and 8-71s being I
think the most popular.

I hope you folks have a good summer back there in New Jersey!
