greetings:<br> i'm searching for a photo showing this tank engine in <br>service at the gravel pit near lilesville, nc; most likely used <br>in the late 1940s and 1950s; needed for restoration project at <br>nc transportation museum; so far, we've turned up no photos and <br>engine has been sandblasted and disassembled for almost 20 years <br>so there's no hope of doing any paint research;<br> can u help?<br> jim <br>

Grest news about this old goat. I wonder if all the pieces are still around? Years ago, Jerry and I moved it with the 44 tonner, went off the track 4 times in a 100 yard trip.<p>If you paint it black, cover it with grease, and blast it with rock dust it should be historically correct. Alternatively, mix rock dust and valve oil, coat, and bake. <p>Dave <br>
