Hi everyone:

It has been a long time since I have had to look for waste. Can anyone give me the name of both a supplier for wool waste and also caboose pads if they are still made.

Chris;

Wool waste comes from Miller Waste Mills, Winona, MN 507-454-8681. Pads are questionable. Try Ken Mumaw at Hooper Industries, Baltimore, MD 410-462-4400 or Unity Railway Supplies, Bensonville, IL 603-595-4562. Please let us know how you come out on the pads.

We have not had good luck with wool waste in the Steam Traction world. We started using Cotton Waste which you can by good quality bales from you local rag dealer. Several Tourist lines also use this same material and it works very well.

Anybody have a supplier for cotton waste, our local supplier no longer handles it?
Thanks,
Mike
