Post subject:  Cotton Belt branchline caboose

Railroad Museum of New England has a Cotton Belt (St. Louis Southwestern) branchline caboose that is surplus to our collection. The car is about 50 feet long, and has passenger, baggage and crew space inside. It was built about 1920, road number SSW 2305. It came north about 1962 and went to the Empire State Railway Museum in Middletown, NY. Resheathed in early 1980s, last repaint 1991, in good condition. Last used by RMNE as a gift shop. Movement will be a trucking job-- plain bearings on this car. Interested parties please contact me and we'll discuss the sale or trade of this car.<br>
