I don't know of any comprehensive list of blogs which post railway preservation news.
I like to get my news here, but I am beginning to feel I know more about the Catskill Mountain Railroad than many other projects, some of which the news gets posted in blog format.
Add more if you know them, but here are blogs I have discovered in recent months:

The forums on railroad.net can be an excellent source of museum specific information, but no blog or forum great unless the people who are at the museum on a day to day basis post new information.

Here are a couple more...

Virginia Museum of Transportation

Valley Railroad
http://theenginehouse.blogspot.com/

The blogs that are hosted on Blogspot and Wordpress have RSS feed capability, so it should be relatively straightforward to consolidate all of that content in one place. Perhaps an idea for a new feature on RyPN?

While not a blog, the WW&F maintains an exceptionally active discussion forum that includes updates, etc.

I appreciate the info you can get from a discussion group, though it can be tedious to read many posts about random things before you get to an update on work. That said, the WW&F forum is about the most organized rail museum discussion group I have ever seen and you can quickly sort the wheat from chaff.

Many groups have discussion forums, often located on Yahoo, but also other random servers.

As an experiment, I have taken all of the blogs with working rss feeds and bundled them into a Railway Preservation Bundle. With a simple click you can have all of the news pumped into one page. I'm not sure I am going to maintain this but for now it is an experiment and if you want to see each item without visiting numerous websites this is the ticket.

http://www.google.com/reader/bundle/use ... n%20Bundle

The newest posts will appear at the top so when you check it you can see the latest. Trying to read backward might be overwhelming so I would just have a look every couple of days to see the news stuff as it comes through. If you check it out I would appreciate some feedback.

Along with the Rochester & Genesee Valley Railroad Museum blog mentioned above where we share progress at the museum, the Rochester Chapter NRHS that owns and operates the R&GVRRM is working to share parts of its railroad archives via its blog:

The R&GVRRM also shares progress around the museum via its YouTube site.
