1910: "Smash-up" of trolley cars: "The trolley car on the Allen Street Line that left Nazareth for Bath at 6 o'clock this morning collided with another car when it reached Bath. At the latter place the switch leading to the car barn had been left open and the car from Nazareth, traveling at a lively rate of speed and carrying a number of passengers, ran on the switch and struck an empty car that had been left standing there. Both cars were forced through the doors of the car barn, that had been closed, and both cars were considerably wrecked. The passengers were thrown about the car and several were bruised."
