you know, that seems to separate the railroad from the estate and protects the railroad while the investor group takes on the repayment. Donations etc can still come in to repay the loan, but I get tired of the issue about the potential abandonement of the railroad, as far as I see its in a limbo state trying to work its way out of its problem.

From the info I hear now real abandonment is NOT correct due to various practical constraints on the physical being of the railroad and ROW as its situated.

The line needs time to recover and seek out business and support.
It reminds me of some early narrow gauge lines that abandoned, and they are...gone gone gone...
