I have a friend who owns two 20 T Plymouth's in various states of operational restoration. I've done the net search and searched the topic on this board. Does anyone have scans of technical documents regarding these locomotives, that might assist with the complete rebuilds? The friend knows his Diesel motors, but wants the locos to both look and run correctly.
Please P.M. if you can assist, and I'll provide an email address.

Thanks!

I have a modest archive of Plymouth materials.....but there were so many variations as they were all built to order with various features. Maybe the place to start is with the Company out in Ohio that services the locomotives? I understand there is a shop out there still providing Plymouth parts and services. Maybe they got all or part of the Company records? Or did the local historical society save the corp archives, and you can look up individual units by serial number as you can with Fairmont motorcars?

Dave: Thanks for the suggestions. These are two little 20 tonners. The more data and drawings he has, the quicker they'll get back into serviceable condition.

I have some Plymouth info... But more information would help... Beyond "20 ton" does he know model number, rough date of construction or at least an owner?

These are most likely J models, which were originally 4 wheel, but were offered in a 6 wheel variant after WWII.

Were these built as diesel or retrofitted?
