I am almost definately sure this topic has been mentioned before, but I am too lazy to look it up. ;)

Even though I am not impressed to see that she is painted as an N&W steam engine rather than historic US Army paint, I am glad to see that she is at least nicely preserved and has a rather impressive home.

One question I've been thinking of is what is her overall mechanical shape?

Thank you in advance.

Supposedly she was the second best of all the locomotives at Fort Eustis when they got rid of them (612 was supposedly the best). When Jack Showalter had to move it out of Covington he had it ultrasounded to see if it was worth moving. The only thin readings were around the door sheet and the very bottom and front corner of one of the side sheets. As for the running gear the tires were in realtively good shape, but I can't speak to the rest.
