They look like quite small boilers for a 4-8-4. Even a small boiler for a 4-8-2. they look more like a USRA light 4-8-2 with a 4 wheel trailing truck and modern design features. I imagine it would pull about like the 1522.

Right: the NdeM Niagras were among the smallest 4-8-4's giving them good route availability.

Well, I don't have all the comparative statistics with me today, but I never heard of a QR-1 running low on steam. SO, as soon as she gets fixed up, I'll wager a bottle of the best Tequila I can get (Mezcal sin Guisano might be available in a higher proof) on a tug of war with any other locomotive in her weight class.

What are we waiting for ???
