Post subject:  Poague Water Columns

We're currently rebuilding an ex-C&O water column and wondered if anyone had drawings for such. We have drawings showing concrete base box dimensions and materials list as well as the general arrangement of the column itself that
we received from the C&O Historical Society.

Needed at this time is a detail of the entire column base showing all the valve components, hammer valve, gaskets, clearances, ect.

All information would be most welcome.

Tim, there is a drawing of a Pogue Automatic Water column on page 33 of the book Evening Before the Diesel. It shows the layout of the base and valves but lacks specific measurements. Perhaps this is at least a start.
