As an FYI, the seats in those ex-LIRR coaches are identical to those used in the circa 1968 M1/M3 electric mu cars, duplicating their 3-2 seating arrangement. I doubt the three seat frame can easily be converted to a two seat.

As MNRR is currently replacing the entire M-2 fleet, some scrap dealer is going to end up with many car sets of otherwise similar seats.
