Looking to compile a list with an email contact address for the various FA owners. In contacting some companies regarding parts, getting more than one or two made would result in a per piece savings. So far looking at FRA glass for windshield and side cab windows. I think I may have solved my side window frame issue. Thanks to various suggestions. Also just to consult others on their restoration progress and issues would be beneficial. Richard Jahn ARHS Long Island FA2 #603 |

Grand Canyon has several for operations and a string of others in the yard as either donors or possible rebuilds. Check LIRR FA units in the Yahoo Groups, too. |

We have NH 0401 at RMNE, recently moved up to our shop site and begun organizing parts for it but I have yet to see glass. I'm not the main person you want to talk to but if they don't chime in I'll bring it to thier attention. |

Try Jason Shron, of Rapido Trains Inc jshron@rapidotrains.com He is currently researching there locomotives for an ALCO/MLW FPA/FA HO scale modelling project and may have a list of what is where, and who has it. If not, he may have some useful info. Also, there is at least 2 FA's still in Cuba, and the ALCO/MLW DL500, which is an export model that is a low loading gauge cross between a PA & FA shares a number of parts with the FA's & FPA's, and are still in operation around the world and in large numbers in Australia. http://www.mrym.org/index.html Monticello has a pair of CN MLWs. They are privately owned, but you could probably send the museum an email to find out contact information. I've talked to the owner a couple of times, and I believe he did some major work on the units to make them operational. The A unit just powered the NS's Decatur Santa Trains. |
