Off topic, but since similar things appear to be of interest to many on this board, the movement of a donated 16-inch 50 cal. gun barrel from Norfolk, VA, barged across the bay to the Virginia eastern shored and moved by rail to a museum at Cape Henlopen State Park. The move involves three railroads. Big gun headed to Ft. The folks at Fort Miles Historical Association have made great progress in developing at WWII artillery museum at Cape Henlopen State Park. They already have one gun mounted in the former coastal battery. Wesley |
