I believe the dinner train equipment from the Coe Rail operation still sits unused near Ann Arbor. Does anyone know the current story or near future fate? They appeared to have a very interesting low-profile PRR generator car. http://www.railroadmichigan.com/coerail.html Information I have found recently on the Rails to Trails website (12/15/2011): Quote: Rail-trail advocates in Michigan are celebrating this week with news that the Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund (MNRTF) has recommended a $3,755,400 grant to acquire a section of out-of-service Coe Rail Line in Oakland County, about 35 miles northeast of Detroit. In addition to the 33-acre parcel of rail corridor, the grant will also enable the Commerce, Walled Lake and Wixom Trailway Management Council, a joint effort of the three townships along the route, to purchase the Walled Lake Train Depot, with plans to convert the historical building into a visitor center or community gathering place. It was third time lucky for the people of Oakland County, who had seen two previous applications for funding to purchase the land rejected. The proposed Commerce, Walled Lake and Wixom Trailway would provide a valuable connection between two popular existing trails, linking the West Bloomfield Trail, in Bloomfield, and the Huron Valley Rail-Trail in Wixom. The new trail would also fill another gap in the ambitious plan for a Great Lake to Lake Trail, formally known as the Michigan Airline Trail, a cross-state trail network utilizing Michigan's thousands of miles of rail-trail and other multi-use pathways. http://community.railstotrails.org/blogs/trailblog/archive/2011/12/15/rail-corridor-acquisition-a-key-link-for-michigan-trails.aspx |

That low-profile car is from the Pennsy's Keystone train, a Budd-built experiment from the era of low-level lightweights like the Aerotrain. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keystone_(train) http://www.trainorders.com/discussion/r ... ?1,2646807 http://trn.trains.com/en/Railroad%20Ref ... Train.aspx |

The Milwaukee tap-lounge was craned onto a flat and shipped out. Another car was craned at the same time and also shipped out. I believe the other car was the pensy car, not sure where she went though. |

Here was the situation last November with the keystone power car being bolted to a flat for movement. IIRC this was sitting there for a good long time. Sorry for the bad light, I wasn't going to trespass given how verbal they've been on railroadfan.com about that. Attachment: Keystone power car loading.jpg [ 39.95 KiB | Viewed 6649 times ] |

The power car from the Pennsy's Keystone train is now in Mexico on Ferromex's Health Train. In the video it is the last car on the train. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vjjofqQQWh8 |
