Beautiful photos! This may have already been posted but there was also the West Somerset Railway's recent Spring Gala, with 10 steam engines in operation including six from the GWR:

There sure is a lot of great stuff going on across the pond!

Wow, what an excellent video! Good sounding engines, good weather, great scenery and clean track/equipment. Wish I could afford to jet over there.

Tornado looks good in the Brunswick Green. The LNER Apple Green was nice, but the Brunswick Green really compliments her.

The Poms sure get rail preservation right.

Aint that the truth. They really get it across the pond, and have an active policy of adopting the "can do" attitude instaed of the "we can't because". We here in the states could learn a lot......

I missed all the spring galas, but did make it to York this past Friday. My first in-person dip into British rail preservation was quite an eye-opener. I expected to be awed by the National Railway Museum and the scene in general, but not as much as I was.

I am sure I will find a way to share some thoughts and photos.

And I as quite pleased that Mallard was back.
