This car was listed for sale, at a bit high price. I gather this is a car refurbished for PV use?

This car was originally SAL 6502, 30 seat coach-buffet-24 seat lounge, blunt end observation, then SCL 5802, then Amtrak 3802, retired in 1977, sold to a J. Lynch. I guess its rebuilt inside now and reclassified as a "PV" or "business" car, but this guy selling the car doesn't go into much detail about it.

It's been kicked around the rumor mill the conversion was not properly engineered to current Amtrak code, as in regard to collision posts, etc. I do not know if any of this is true. The car has not operated on Amtrak here in the west for some time. The photo shows it has been retrucked from it's original double equalizer prewar trucks. I never understood how the railroads can operate their theater cars on Amtrak with glass walls in the back and then Amtrak go after car owners about collision posts.
