A804 - This was in Ontario for a period as well, and we understood it was to be moved to a site with the Wallaceburg, Ontario Station, but have not heard anything about it in many years now. Last we knew, it was offered free to a good home. I posted on this almost 10 years ago.....wow.....how time flies......

Sadly, I've learned that the A804 was too far gone to successfully move and came apart while trying to remove it from the Kingsville property a few years back. It was scrapped on site.

Of the A800 series, this is what we know still exist:

interior that we know of.
A801 - Yours
A802 - Selbyville, Delaware, Privately owned.
A803 - Linworth, Ohio, Privately owned.
A804 - (See below)
A805 - Orrville, Ohio, Privately owned
A810 - Huntington, WV, Beverly Hills Middle School, near Rt 60, Saltwell Rd.
A811 - Navarre, Ohio. Located on State Route 21 at the south edge of town.
A814 - Loveland, Ohio,Loveland Church of the Nazarene.
A821- Lowmansville, KY, Along old US 23, north of Paintsville.
A822 - Mt. Carbon, WV, Last reported at Alloy Industrial League, but no longer there as
of April, 2005.
A823 - Hinton, WV, Sr. Little League Baseball Club.

Have any of these been verified? All I can find with hours of online searches is the one in Hilliard Ohio

I will do my best to find the ones in West Virginia.

Can anyone say for sure the others exist?

In the list of Kentucky cabooses compiled by Roger Kirkpatrick, he shows two separate cabooses for Paintsville. One is listed as C&O 90782 being used as the Chamber of Commerce office on U.S. 23. The other listed as PM/C&O A821 on old U.S. 23 north of Paintsville. My guess is that the caboose photo you have included is of C&O 90782, and not A821. Perhaps someone can confirm.

Yeah, that Paintsville photo is definitely of a C&O caboose. I've lost count of the number of times I've been told about an "old PM caboose", only to find that it was an old C&O 90600/700-series caboose.

Last I heard, A811 was still on location in Navarre, Ohio. If you want to see where it is, you can find it on Google Maps' satellite view with its blue tarp on top along the southernmost set of tracks in town, just west of the SR 21 crossing.

Some of the listings I have for remaining PM cabooses are extremely old. A few that I've checked don't appear even to pass the "Google Maps" test, such as the listing for A810 at the middle school in Huntington, WV.

That's funny that's exactly what I have been doing, searching Google maps for any sign of these Cabooses. We are snowed in with generators powering my computer and internet access, so not much more to do.

I looked all around the Huntington School and didn't see anything resembling a caboose.

I'll have to go back and look for the Blue Tarp.

I work all over WV so Ill search for the others in my travels.

That looks like a B&O I-1 or I-3. I can't find a number for it in my references.

Been doing some more snooping. Could this be A821- Lowmansville, KY, Along old US 23, north of Paintsville?
