The East Troy Railroad had a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house on June 25th at the new maintenance facility. The facility will be named the Edwin H. Weig Maintenance Facility in honor of the father of a major donor to the facility. About 150 people attended the event.

David:

Yes, we used hedge trimmers. They were the right colors for our railroad -- and a lot cheaper to buy than the ceremonial scissors promoted for such events. And now we can re-use them for trimming instead of putting them away until the next ribbon cutting event.

Congrats on your new building by the way. But just like your tool box it will get small fast. What a joy it will be to have it to work in. Nothing like having walls to break the wind and a roof to keep the big chunks of weather off you and your projects. In fact I need one of these at home with heat.

Cheers, John.
