I have them. They were custom made after that picture was taken. Yes, my wife not only tolerates eccentricity, but occasionally indulges it.

Of course, in the old days, no properly attired accountant worse a red henley and blue jeans. Crocs and digital watches were as of then, unimagined.

Hello Everyone,

My name is Christian. I'm 15, from Delaware and currently work as a boat cleaner/grass cutter and volunteer my Saturday and Sunday's to the Wilmington and Western Railroad as a Passenger Attendant/Photographer. I share a taste for historical background of railroad including past owners, paints, Before-After pictures and abandoned ROW's.

Figured I'd introduce myself. Hope for a long journey on here!

I used to have a pair, when I portrayed the station agent/operator. I bought them from the Rolling Stock Company, back when they were in business. I don't know what happened to them.

You are getting an early start on your addiction. I'm happy to see a young man taking such an interest in our history.

More power to you and welcome!

Steve

This image marks the highlight of my preservation involvment; presenting a talk on the Surviving World Steam Project to the 76th General Meeting of the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors on May 14, 2007 at the Gaylord Texan in Dallas, Texas.

I am on the right, one of my sons is on the left; we are on a backshop tour of the Disneyland RR:

Myself and my other son next to my current preservation project; a 1995 Ford Taurus wagon. Bought new for Mom by Dad in 1995; given to our family in about 2002. Missed death by a few feet when a tornado in the middle of Hurricane Rita passed over our home; only to suffer freeze damage to the engine two weeks after we moved to our current home further north. Installed a rebuilt engine a year later; only to have it go down the next year with blown head gasket and cracked head. Sat up for four years while I refused to have it hauled away as scrap, and Mom and Dad passed away. Used the money from their estate last year to restore it a second time; using it now as my daily driver. Put 40,000 miles on it already.

Got a photo of a friend who is an occasional poster here on RyPN so thought I would add it to this thread. Dennis Slone is shown on the rear end of his Illinois Central side door cupola caboose #9926. It also gives me a chance to mention the recent Railroad Days at the Monticello Railway Museum where Dennis was conductor on the freight train operated that day. The picture was taken at the old Wabash depot in downtown Monticello with the 9926 set up with a temporary air cylinder on the platform to operate the air horn for the back up move from the museum.
