Post subject:  Southern Railway Training Film for Saluda & A Santa Fe Film

Came across this recently while looking for something else; Southern fans will enjoy the solid locomotive consists in the "tuxedo" scheme.

Reading between the lines, you can see why Saluda isn't in service today. At the same time, though, it would probably make a magnificent tourist operation, if somewhat challenging to run, especially with steam.

This safety film from the Santa Fe has some graphic (with a dummy) scenes that remind me of how it was so easy to get hurt or killed in the days of hand brakes and link and pin couplers--and how it's still easy to get hurt or killed today if you're not on the ball.
