Post subject:  Head light reflectors

I am looking to have some headlight reflectors spun for a Birney headlight. The local metal spinner here in the Dallas-Ft Worth area wants a minimum of 25 reflectors. Does anyone have a good source of metal spinners for a reflector 8.5 inches diameter and 4 inched deep? I need 4 to go to the Minn. trolley group. The price has yet to be quoted to me.

OR, does anyone else need any reflectors of that size that can be added together to get the minimum order of 25?

Harry,

We have two shops here in the Twin Cities that can make glass headlight reflectors. One shops molds the glass. The other shop then silvers the rear of the reflector. Only problem is that it's not cheap: maybe $200+ for one reflector (which is what we paid back about 4-5 years ago). They can tint the glass to that golden glow color if you want.

If you're interested, let me know and I'll send to you the name and phone number of the two places.

Thanks!
