Pittsburgh Railways/PAT Transit PCC 1734 is available for donation to a non-profit organization. It is located at New Castle, PA, close to US 422. There is "some assembly required," but all parts are present. For further information, contact the owner, Dr. Stephen Kuznetsov at 412-245-7664.

I have no financial interest in this matter, just like to see things preserved.

Thanks--now let me go round up everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, who complained about the BSM cutting up Philly 2647 and tell them to pool their resources and rescue THIS one......

A few comments re PCC trucks: While the trucks available with this car are St. Louis B3 design, the standard PCC kingpin arrangement will accommodate either those or the original B2 trucks with which the car was built. All B2 trucks used a common frame. Gauge variations were accomplished in the axle/gearbox assemblies. This car (and all PRCo PCCs 1725-1799) used WABCo brake actuators, so the control wiring in the body would be set up for this type. Using anything else would require a design change.
