I guess the restoration is stopped.

Not necessarily, Tom. Florida is stinking hot this time of year. There may be things being done which are not obvious from the outside. One can hope.

Tom,

From what I gather one of the driving forces of the project recently passed away.

I belong to the 253 yahoo group, and there hasn't been an update in a long, long time. At one point it seemed they were making good progress, making regular postings...all is quiet now.

This engine is at a small museum in Ft. Pierce, Florida. I was up there a couple of years ago while they were actively attempting to restore the engine to operating condition. They had not completed a Form-4 on the engine, but were attempting to restore it anyhow. Their desire was to use it to operate passenger trips over tracks of one of the sugar companies with tracks going from Ft. Pierce towards the sugar mills in the central part of the state. I have not seen it lately.
