A Phillip Holzmann AG 0-4-0T (Henschel 1937/CN 23768) had been listed at the "Leyh Steam Museum" in Ellicott, Maryland. It was recently photographed on a lowboy at a truck stop northbound on I-95. The photographer shot the builder's plate so the identity of the locomotive is certain.

Does anyone know about this move? Where is it headed, who the new owner is, and so forth. It is a 600 mm gauge locomotive and was purchased from Germany by Walter Leyh in 1965.

As someone who has been in the area for twenty years, and managed to uncover/discover any number of live steam and garden railways in said area, I can say that neither I, nor any of my associates, have ever heard of this alleged "steam museum" or know anything of this loco's alleged location, storage, etc. anywhere in or around Ellicott City. I, too, would be interested in hearing where it went.

I think the museum is in the original firehouse across from Caplands . I've never been in cause it never looks open I only know of it from a ghost tour it's supposed to be haunted.
