I'm excited about this news, and I can't wait to hear more details about this. I always get excited about news involving steam locomotives, and there is already quite a bit happening [the reacquiring (and upcoming restoration) of UP Big Boy #4014, 4501 close to finishing up, fundraising for 611's return, the deal about LIRR 39, AT&SF 2926, and much more]. I know they said they will be working with AT&SF #3751, but I'm curious as to what their own steam motive power will be. Here's hoping things go very well for them.

I hope they work out well, too, but wonder if there really is that much business there. After all, this looks like some mighty dry country. I wonder what some trail people saw in part of it.

Cadiz, Inc. itself is primarily a land and water development company.

Another version of the story, with a rather interesting illustration.

This is a very interesting prospect. I wish them the best.

Maybe it won't work out. But maybe seeing if it does will be the best adventure ever.

The subject line is wrong. Except for Parker, Arizona, just over the state line, the route is within California, from Cadiz to the border at Parker. Otherwise, I hope it is successful.

Several postings up on the list is a discussion of the same project under "85-mile Line in Mojave"
