I have had the good fortune of being able to acquire two set of slides that featured shots of Southeast Michigan Transit Authority coaches that were rebuilt from PRR 21 Rmt. sleepers, as they were when in service on Metro North. I believe that these shots have all been taken by Charles Trapani, Jr. Below are links to the shots as well as car histories...

MNCR 101 Bloomfield Hills - (ex-SEMTA, exx-PC 1519, exxx-PRR, nee-8262 Hamilton Inn) Budd slab-side 82-seat coach rblt. from 60-seat coach, originally 21 Rmt.
MNCR 102 Royal Oak - (ex-SEMTA, exx-PC 1530, exxx-PRR, nee-8272 Marietta Inn) Budd slab-side 82-seat coach rblt. from 60-seat coach, originally 21 Rmt.
MNCR 103 Pontiac - (ex-SEMTA, exx-PC 1503, exxx-PRR, exxxx-8241 Jacob J. Vandergrift, nee-Alliance Inn) Budd slab-side 82-seat coach rblt. from 60-seat coach, originally 21 Rmt.
MNCR 104 Oak Park - (ex-SEMTA, exx-PC 1504, exxx-PRR, nee-8286 Tifton Inn) Budd slab-side 82-seat coach rblt. from 60-seat coach, originally 21 Rmt.
MNCR 105 Clawson - (ex-SEMTA, exx-PC 1500, exxx-PRR, nee-8250 Carnegie Inn) Budd slab-side 82-seat coach rblt. from 60-seat coach, originally 21 Rmt.
MNCR 106 Bloomfield Township - (ex-SEMTA, exx-PC 1516, exxx-PRR, exxxx-8247 Henry S. Sprang, nee-Bucyrus Inn) Budd slab-side 82-seat coach rblt. from 60-seat coach, originally 21 Rmt.
MNCR 107 Troy - (ex-SEMTA, exx-PC 1513, exxx-PRR, nee-8275 Norristown Inn) Budd slab-side 82-seat coach rblt. from 60-seat coach, originally 21 Rmt.
MNCR 108 Hazel Park - (ex-SEMTA, exx-PC 1508, exxx-PRR, nee-8254 Collinsille Inn) Budd slab-side 82-seat coach rblt. from 60-seat coach, originally 21 Rmt.
MNCR 109 Southfield - (ex-SEMTA, exx-PC 1520, exxx-PRR, nee-8290 Van Wert Inn) Budd slab-side 82-seat coach rblt. from 60-seat coach, originally 21 Rmt.
MNCR 110 Berkley - (ex-SEMTA, exx-PC 1524, exxx-PRR, exxxx-8257 B.F. Jones, nee-Tyrone Inn) Budd slab-side 82-seat coach rblt. from 60-seat coach, originally 21 Rmt.
MNCR 112 Pleasant Ridge - (ex-SEMTA, exx-PC 1537, exxx-PRR, nee-8258 Franklin Inn) Budd slab-side 82-seat coach rblt. from 60-seat coach, originally 21 Rmt.

I also was able to acquire two shots of former Grand Trunk Western, nee-Union Pacific coaches as they appeared in in SEMTA stripes while in service on the Metro North as well...

MNCR 4815 Beverly Hills - (ex-SEMTA, exx-GTW, nee-UP 5438) PS LW 94-seat coach rblt. from 44-seat leg-rest.
MNCR 4817 Waterford Township - (ex-SEMTA, exx-GTW, nee-UP 5440) PS LW 94-seat coach rblt. from 44-seat leg-rest.

Well, we have a new owner of one of the former PRR Budd 21 Rmt cars that was rebuilt as a coach. CSX has fielded another Track Geometry car set, this one features one of these cars rebuilt as a TGC car, with the glassed in end. Anyone have anything on this, its CSX number and/or history?

Here's the link to the shot of this car:

A little added info on PC #1526. While not sold by Conrail until around 1984 the car did receive the MDOT #1511 when it was sold. This info is from the Railway Passenger Car Annual - 1984.

Unfortunately a roster showing what MDOT cars became MARC hasn't been found by me as of yet... but I remain hopeful.

I have seen such a roster; I think I put it in the Md. Rail Heritage Library files. Nag me repeatedly and I'll see if I remember to find it. The probable sources for that specific sheet of paper also lurk here/ maybe they'll be forthcoming as well........

That particular source has a very bad filing system and does not know where his copy is.

Especially since that wasn't even the sheet to which I referred. I had in mind a one-page horizontal listing of all the ex-PRR cars.

Thanks so very much for the roster!!! And thanks for the help!!! Now I will be able to finally fill-in a lot of blank spaces in MDOT/MARC listings and I do appreciate all of the help... from everyone.

It is one thing I do believe... this forum is the BEST source available for finding information such as this of any out there and I am so very glad for it!!!

8. Does anyone know what #994xxx-series number PRR #8261 Hagerstown Inn/PRR #1526/PC #1526 now carries under CSX ownership?

Found it!!! Was checking Google out of the hope of finding additional shots of this car and found this...

https://www.flickr.com/photos/lionel682/15198312309 (Right click and choose preferred size.)

The car is now CSX 994366 TGC3!!!

TGC3s support car, CSX 994365, is rebuilt from a Budd 44-seat leg-rest coach... a li8ttle off topic and I do apologize but does anyone have any info on this car's history???

Looks to be one of the 1960 UP chairs. Of these 20 cars, most were rebuilt in the mid-90's to #17xx-series center-door baggage cars by Amtrak, leaving:

UP #5525/AMTK #4457/HEP #4632. Sold in 2001 to Inland Lakes-Florida Rail Adventures as ILRV #4632, later EOLX #5525, acquired by Iowa Pacific as SLRG #5525 and assigned to the Saratoga & North Creek.

UP #5511/AMTK #4443/HEP #4644. Retired in 1997.

UP #5512/AMTK #4444/HEP #4637. Sold in 1997 to ITAX, later to Mid-America as the Echo Canyon (#800725). I haven't seen any recent photos of this car, and the Hagerstown Inn was sold to CSX by MRLX, so maybe the Echo Canyon was also sold. Hmm...

UP #5513/AMTK #4445/HEP #4642. Sold in 1995 to Ringling Brothers RBBX #41312.

UP #5526/AMTK #4458/HEP #4639. Sold in 1995 to Ringling Brothers RBBX #41313.

UP #5523/AMTK #4455 was reconfigured in 1974 to 60 seats as #6062, and was sold in 1976 to Ampol Wrecking.

UP #5524/AMTK #4456/HEP #4640 was wrecked in August 1994 on the #49 Lake Shore Limited at Batavia, NY, and subsequently scrapped in 1995.

So this is either the #5511/#4443/#4644 or the #5512/#4444/#4637/Echo Canyon.

"So this is either the #5511/#4443/#4644 or the #5512/#4444/#4637/ Echo Canyon"

It's the former Echo Canyon.
