30 seconds after reading this post, I plopped "Wire Reinforced Safety glass" on Google and the following site popped up. I'm sure there are more. figure if I can locate this in 60 seconds there should be more to suite your needs.

Browsing web, it seems while chicken wire - or poultry netting - is still being made. However, it is not being used to reinforce glass.

So what can we or the antique structure people do when chicken wire glass is needed for a restoration?

Wire reinforced glass is available at any well stocked glass company, and it is not expensive. I recently was involved in restoration of a CB&Q caboose and we looked into wire reinforced glass for the end doors. We ended up choosing tempered laminated glass, but I was able to get quotes from three different places in the Minneapolis area. Look in the yellow pages under glass and glazing.

Mr. Pullman, thanks for your help, I did see one supplier Bear glass may have it, I will contact them tomorrow. I cannot use the standard diamond shaped wire reinforcement. I need the octagonal shaped chicken wire or poultry netting style of reinforcement.

Hamster, same as above I need the chicken wire/poultry netting octagonal wire style.

This is for two projects. I need consistency, and larger sized pieces (which is why I can't go the salvaged glass route).

Sully, good find on this product source, another example of knowing something is out there it's just finding it. My wife and I have been considering using this type of product in an upcoming station project.
Nice.
