Post subject:  Wilmington and Western #98

I'm in the process of writing a chronicle of locomotive 98 that I intend to publish as a book. I'm interested in stories or photos that are historical in nature that could be included. I've interview a number of people associated with Wilmington and Western's early years. I'm posting here because there might be a slight chance someone out there might have a something.

My list of things I would like photos/information on include:

The time she was used by the army as a training locomotive at Camp Shelby during WWII

Time spent on the Louisiana Eastern.

The 1959 ad by Birmingham Rail and Loco listing her for sale.

Photos/dates covering movement from Louisiana to Strasburg and then to Wilmington.

Please PM me here or email me at tgears1@gmail.com

Thanks,

I've seen photos of 98 and 1223 coupled together at Strasburg. I would like to find a copy and permission to publish it.

Please let me know if anyone has any leads.

Thanks,
