I can tell you that I spent some unhappy times in lengthy meetings in it.

It dates back in its current form to the Great Savannah Exposition which was a historic / tourist adaptive reuse of the C of G depot.

I never had occasion to do any research on it since it was not contemplated as being a part of the Roundhouse Railroad Museum's collection. I'd refer you to the C of G RHS.

These two shots are a bit telling when it comes to figuring out the car... based on the rivets in the lower side there was a fourth paired window above where the number is now that has been covered over...

And this photo, if you enlarge it, shows a fourth aisle window has also been plated over...

Taking these things into consideration I think it is possible to assume that the car is a former Pullman Plan 3979 8 Section - 1 Drawing Room - 2 Compartment sleeper, though its history remains unknown. I have long wondered about this car and having these pix at least helps figure out the type of car it is, but whether or not it is one of the 8-1-2 cars that the CG acquired from Pullman (Centessa, Centmount and Wesleyan College) (12/4/40; formerly Laurel Park) is hard to say... the ACL also had a number of these cars and it may actually be one of those.

These shots show the aisle side of the cars with their evenly spaced windows...

I'd bet a dollar that its ACL. Something about the roof style and SKF rollers. An up close shot of the trucks would help.

I've added this mystery 8-1-2 to the Surviving Pullman Heavyweight thread as line item #303:
