This had to be the single most perfect day of the year thus far. Everything went beautifully.
More pictures will appear on our website and in our newsletter. Thanks to the Maine Eastern Railroad, the Wiscasset, Waterville, and Farmington Raiload, the Boothbay Railway Village, Operation Lifesaver, and Darling's Automotive which brought it's Ice Cream truck to the station. Either Mom's or Dad's gave permission to post their child's image. Our thanks to them!

With the cooperation of our heritage railroading friends, with the support from Darling's Ice Cream truck, with the blessing of Maine Eastern Railroad, we raised over $2,000 in donations to purchase, move, and rebuild Maine Central 4-6-2 #470.

The next "Touch A Train" event will be June 21st, at Washington Junction or the Downeast Scenic Railroad, Ellsworth, Maine. Please plan to enjoy the day with us!
Help us purchase, move, and rebuild Maine Central 470.

We have an American legacy to leave these children.

A very nice event and great photos.

One minor nit to pick...............
It is the Wiscasset Waterville & Farmington RAILWAY.

Yes Keith, Aurora is the "Steam Dog". Sorry on the WW&F name. I seem to have a block on that which won't quit. Great folk, regardless of the name.

Nice photos. I'm glad your event went well.
That FL-9 sure looks good in the Maine Eastern scheme.
