Post subject:  The old CA&S; opinions welcome!

I have a retired friend Ed, who is an avid bicycle rider. He is not a railroad enthusiast per se, but he knows his railroads. In his travels, he spots things, and he sends out photos. Some of these are very interesting. Here is an example. The last of the old Chicago, Attica & Southern was completely abandoned in 1946. Not much of the railroad is still around. One of the locations served was Wadena, Indiana, in Benton County. Supposedly, the old Wadena depot still exists. The Railroad Station Historical Society lists it as a combination freight/passenger depot of wood construction used today as a residence and "highly modified". Unfortunately, the RSHS does not give a specific location. Ed apparently knew about the report and recently sent out a couple of photos taken in Wadena, one of which he thinks might be the old CA&S station. His photos are included below. Ed thinks that one of the depots is more likely the old depot, but I think it is more likely the other one. Opinions are welcome, and will be forwarded to Ed. And thanks for taking time to participate. Railroad preservation comes in all different guises, and this is one small, less remarked upon, example.
