The former URTX 26571 "Libby's" car was successfully loaded and shipped from PTM on 4/24 to its new owner Age of Steam Roundhouse. The loading was handled by Zemba Bros. of Zanesville, OH using portable jacks and a beam trailer. PTM has 3 more 1950s vintage reefer cars that are seeking new homes as well. A previous posting gives contact info.

About 25 years ago I came across 4 old wooden refers around York, PA sitting on a siding in an industrial area. These wouldn't happen to be the same cars, would they?

Definitely not the same cars from York. The four that PTM has, three now remaining, have been at the museum since the early to mid-1960s. They are being made surplus to our requirements by erection of a 40x216' Artifact Preservation Building (read: parts warehouse). These have never been part of PTM's collection, having been acquired for storage space only.
