San Francisco Muni has a long range plan to run light rail in a tunnel under Stockton Street and eventually surface light rail on Columbus to Hyde and Beach. Anybody hear or know what the effect on Powell Mason cable or trackwork will be? |

For now none... it is intended to end the subway short of the slot... there is a plan to extend the line in the future, which might impact the Powell Mason, likely mostly construction impacts. You can rest assured that the subway will not displace or shorten the grip... Randy |
