I can look at passenger car roster shots all day, so I wouldn't mind at all if you kept these coming.

Of particular interest is the shot of the 8-4-3-1 sleeper Pend O'Reille River. This is a rare view of one of the GN lightweight sleepers with the original between-the-trucks skirting still intact. It would be interesting to find out the date of that picture, but it could well be as late as the early 1960's.

Also of interest are the shots of the sleepers stored out of service, probably circa early 1970's, since none of those cars shown went to Amtrak. The cars still look real good, save for some faded paint.

I'm wondering if these photos were taken at the Como Shops or adjacent to the NP Commissary, as that's where BN stored numerous passenger cars until final disposition or conversion to MofW.

I will take a stab at #34 and say it is at Spokane. #34, 36, and several of the others with the clear-blue sky, and the white buildings in the background, I am going to guess are in Seattle, just south of King St. Station.

The Silver Threads was articulated to 12S sleeper C&S #655 Silver Tone (ex-CB&Q #415); this pair of sleepers was part of the Texas Zephyr trainset sold to the Civic Plaza National Bank in Kansas City, and later acquired by Saudi Arabia along with the "Train of the Gods" Nebraska Zephyr seen above.

Going by what would be a typical CZ consist, the dome to the right is the CZ-21 dome chair with conductor's desk, which in this case is a D&RGW-owned car, so either the #1106 Silver Colt or the #1107 Silver Mustang. Also in the typical consist, the car to the left would be the dome buffet lounge-dormitory, which in this case appears to be D&RGW #1140 Silver Shop. This would appear to be the eastbound CZ, minutes away from the evening stop at Union Station. The Silver Stirrup is now Grand Canyon RY #7034 Grand View.

This car was built in the Aurora Shops by the CB&Q for commuter service on the "racetrack" between Chicago and Aurora.

She dates to 1928, and seated 87. (IIRC)

Several of these 7100 series cars are still around, Age of Steam (JJJ) has some, IRM has one that is now an open car, and I think there is at least one other floating around.

Choteau Coulee and White Pines Lake appear to be taken while both were assigned to the same set of the Empire Builder. The background and triple track mainline would indicate Naperville, IL, on the CB&Q.

Park Creek Pass appears to be in the CB&Q 14th Street coach yard in Chicago with the view taken from the mainline side near the St. Charles Air Line bridge.
