This morning I talked with a person who is involved in the Monroe County (Ohio) Historical Society. OR&W Coach 5 still exists. They are well aware of the significance of the car, and have been exploring ideas for acquiring the car for preservation and restoration. The need for a sheltered location is well understood. They do not want the car to leave their area.

Since OR&W car 5 and W&W car 6 were both built by Jackson & Sharp during the same general time period (1887 and 1892 respectively), it would seem that those involved in the preservation efforts for the two cars could probably benefit from close communication and cooperation between the two groups. I hope this will happen, and I offer my best wishes to the members of both groups.
