It is with a heavy heart that I report the passing of Richard T. Steinbrenner, noted historian and author of the book "The American Locomotive Company, A Centennial Remembrance". Dick was also the owner and operator of On-Track Publishing and long time Chairman of the Board of the ALCO Historical & Technical Society. He was a resident of Warren, NJ.

Matt, thank you for letting us know. Richard was always very helpful and willing to support good causes and share his knowledge with others. Very sad to hear of his passing.

Hopefully somebody managed to record some spoken history interviews with Richard over the past years.
