The 220 I could read easily and it came through on other parts of the car too. The mystery was the last 3 digits. I carefully sanded the number one afternoon and reviled the 838. Tough to see in the photo but it was clear as day right in front of it. I also had several other people climb under to look and concern.

Scott -

Yes, sandpaper is your friend!

Beautiful job. Did someone make the stencils for you or did you take creativity and make them yourself? I'm still looking for a big B&O for my boxcar...

Just out of curiosity, how much did it cost to move the hopper over the road? With the car being its size and requiring no cranes to move it, it must have been a lot more cheaper than say moving a 40' boxcar which sometimes requires two cranes and two trailers.

Does anyone have good contact information for Scott Kwiatkowski or Eric Levin?

We are putting a plan together to repaint our H31 hopper at the Seashore Trolley Museum and tapping into their expertise would be a great help.

Thanks

When you're logged in, there will be a PM button and Email button at the bottom of their posts depending on their preferences.

Stan -

I've included a photo I took of the car when I had visited Seashore a number of years ago. I'm really glad to hear that she is going to be restored. Keep us posted on your progress as best you can.
