My brother was stationed in Sicily in the late 1980s (when they had ground launched cruise missiles at Comiso for the USAF) and he said they had steam still running there at that time. He'd sent some photo prints home in that timeframe and there were plenty of steam locomotives sitting on sidings in a few of the train shots he'd take for me. |
