| Post subject: | GR&I journal box lid |
I just aquired a cast journal box lid marked GR&I RR (Grand Rapids & Indiana for those not familiar). I am curious as to the age of car that this might have come from. It is small (for maybe 4x8 bearing). A little research tells me that the GR&I reorganized from RR to Ry in 1896. Is it safe to assume this part is from a car built before 1896? Any info would be appreciated. |
