The small structure known as the Pawtucket, RI yard/yardmaster's office was transferred to the Railroad Museum of New England in Thomaston, CT. It was transported over the road via truck and trailer to the Thomaston Station site, where it is currently positioned for viewing. Planning is underway for the ongoing care, display, and interpretation of the structure.

It is my understanding that the RDC found a nice new home, but I will let someone from that organization provide that information when they are ready.

My understanding was the RDC was heading up to North Adams for the Berkshire Scenic. That just leaves the caboose and visitors car.

And it leaves the NH boxcar. I heard a rumor that it was heading for display on Cape Cod - but that is a rumor.

New Haven boxcar #33401 is heading for West Barnstable to a new home with the Cape Cod Chapter, NRHS. The chapter has restored the formerly derelict 1912 West Barnstable station under a long-term lease with the town of Barnstable and plans to display the car on a section of track to be constructed more or less on the site of the former freight house. The chapter is working out details on the car's move now with MassDOT and Mass. Coastal Railroad.

Not mentioned so far is the disposition of New York Central caboose #21052, which I understand now has a private owner. Mass Coastal has been using the caboose on ballast trains on the Framingham secondary to help in backing moves. The rumor mill has it the caboose will soon spend some time on the Cape for some rehab work.

That's a great home for the boxcar. Congratulations to the NRHS in West Barnstable.

So that just leaves the P-70? Any idea where that is headed?
