Post subject:  Tom Shore RIP

From the Iron Horse Society at Steamtown Incorporated Facebook Page:

It is with deep sadness that we must acknowledge the passing of The Iron Horse Society at Steamtown Incorporated Vice President Tom Shore, who was stricken yesterday October 5, while vacationing in Germany.

Tom was a long time Steamtown Volunteer, and one of our excursion engineers. The owner of a alarm service company, Tom enticed another of our Board members, Jack McCullagh and former Steamtown volunteer Father Fidelis "Frank" Weber to become volunteers. Tom was also a NORAC operating rules instructor for several years.

In a very real sense, this organization owes its existence to Tom, who was an advocate for its creation for many years, and personally recruited most of our present Board, and who found a receptive and supportive audience in Superintendent Conway.
It is unfortunate that he will not be present for our future efforts, but we will always be grateful for his efforts in being our first prime mover.

Godspeed Tom, may all your signals be High Clears.
