Recently saw some photos of the restoration of this 1920 box motor: http://2presspapers.northcoastnow.com/f ... um-001.jpg Photo above apparently taken in 2011 with the new owner standing next to the car body. Have seen a story of the recent restoration and display in Avon Lake, Ohio. The restoration looks pretty good although trolley poles are missing. Not sure about the set of trucks applied. Anyone have any further details or photographs they can share? Thanks. Les |

Is that the original color, or a different repaint? I'm curious because I have an 0-gauge model. |

My impression is that the letterboard and doors on the box motors were more of a tile red or maroon, not the crimson on LSE 38. And the lettering is not quite correct. That said, it seems that the car is being quite well cared for and it's great to see that it's being preserved in original territory. Of the preserved LSE box motors this one is arguably in the best condition. |
